After comparing the two on your site, it seems that the cheaper one might also be a (slightly) better one. What a blessing your site was to me as I had to rapidly find a good place for my Mom during the last few days. I have already spread the word to some and will continue as I have opportunity for others. On Friday I was told my Mom had just lost the capacity to take care of herself in her assisted living home anymore. Your initial information that I looked at in this crisis time on Saturday allowed me to learn there were about forty places in the area between my home and my brothers. Then using the government site and your site I cut it down to 5 sites. My wife and I visited the five on Sunday and Monday and made our choice on Monday and got her moved Tuesday.
As an engineer who likes to have some information before making a quick crazy decision I would have been in big trouble without both the governments and your efforts. God bless you all for your help and I'm sure the way it will eventually improve nursing home quality everywhere!
I used your comparison charts to select a nursing home for my Mother in Florida because I could not "pre" visit them since I am in New York. Two weeks ago I had to go to Florida and have her transferred from the hospital to the one I had selected. So far I am very pleased with the choice. Thank you for developing this site - it has been very helpful in sorting out the nursing homes in a specific area.
